Boilerplate (long)

DrySpool is a private, offline filament tracker and spool inventory for 3D printing. It tracks every spool you own, predicts when each one needs re-drying, and prints scannable QR labels for your shelves — no account, no cloud, no ads and no subscription.

A per-material moisture model estimates how each spool absorbs humidity over time — PLA shrugs it off, nylon drinks it — factoring in how it's stored (sealed with desiccant, open shelf, in an AMS) and your ambient conditions, so every spool shows a live moisture reading and when it's due to be re-dried. Start a drying session with research-backed temperatures and times, and the spool's moisture resets when it's done.

DrySpool also reads Bambu Lab RFID tags to auto-fill a spool, imports sliced .gcode/.3mf to subtract filament used, prints QR labels for spools and storage locations, and adapts its layout for tablets and Chromebooks. Everything stays on the device and backs up to a single file. Built by a one-person studio.
